Send Free National and local SMS from Airtel [INDIA]

Here's some good news! for Airtel customers, now there is a hack to send free national / local SMS. Normally Airtel charges Rs.1.00 for local and Rs.1.50 for national SMS

If you are a Airtel  user, you can send free SMS to your friends’ mobile phone. Just use the below format to send free sms to your friends

To: 59191
%F% <your friends' 10 digit mobile number>  <your actual sms message here>
example:
%F% 9895012345 hello friend.... have a great day :)
and send to 59191

This service absoluty free but there are some limitations too :(
  • Both sender and recever must be an Airtel India customer
  • Only 60 SMS/month :ie 2 SMS/day
  • Its bit difficult ,  have to type %F% to 59191
  • Profile must be registered in SMS2
